Biography

Reilly Fitzpatrick is a Research Project Manager with the University of Kansas Center for Community Health and Development, where she supports capacity-building and participatory evaluation efforts for initiatives focused on health equity and social justice.

Reilly received a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Puget Sound before joining the U.S. Peace Corps. As a Community Health Extension volunteer in Zambia’s Northwestern province, she oversaw community-led projects addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation, HIV/AIDS prevention, and maternal and child health.

Following her Peace Corps service, Reilly earned dual master’s degrees in public health and social work from New York University. Throughout her graduate studies, she worked on the ground, providing supportive counseling for youth and families while also gaining experience at the policy level, collaborating with New York State health officials to improve public health spending in nonprofit hospitals across the state. After graduate school, she worked as a global health curriculum consultant and adjunct professor for NYU’s Department of Global and Environmental Health.
