Abstract:

Behavior that puts adults at risk for chronic diseases, such as physical inactivity or a poor diet, are established in childhood. Harris et al describe the outcomes of a comprehensive school health project, the Kansas LEAN School Intervention Project, which modified school lunches, enhanced nutrition education and increased opportunities for physical activity.
