Background and Professional Interests

As a KU Work Group Research Assistant, Sara provides support for various local and national health initiatives through technical assistance, quality assurance, and evaluation assistance. Her work is applied to projects that span topics including using social determinants to lessen childhood obesity rates as well as multi-pronged local efforts to increase access to healthy food and physical activity in populations experiencing health disparities. Sara contributes to projects that promote health for vulnerable populations using multiple research-based approaches.

Sara received her M.A. from the University of Kansas in Developmental Psychology. She also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology and Cognitive Psychology.
